Since filing for the August 6 primary election opened on Monday, 36 candidates have filed to be Democratic Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) in the precincts where they reside.
If you want to be a PCO, file online here by Friday, May 10 at 5:00 pm.
Monday, April 29, is the opening day of the Walla Walla County Democrats’ new office in Downtown Walla Walla. Located in the Die Brucke Building at 38 East Main Street, this office will be the center for our party’s many activities.
On March 26, Gov. Jay Inslee signed Senate Bill 5824 into law. This law redefines the rules of dissolving Rural Library Districts. Eilse Severe, chair of Neighbors United for Progress, attended the ceremony.
The Walla Union-Bulletin announced its selection of 39 community members “who are age 39 or younger and who work to support our community through leadership in business, health care, arts and culture, education, public service, nonprofits, and advocacy.”

Walla Walla County Democrats welcomed Dr. Bernadine Bank of Spokane at its Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
Dr. Bank is an accomplished obstetrics and gynecology specialist in Spokane. She has over 36 years of experience in the medical field. Her friends call her “Bernie.”

I grew up with the dams. I was graduating from Walla Walla High School when the dams on the Snake were being built. My dad, a farmer, was trained in engineering. He left me with an appreciation of the dams as engineering successes. I am still awed by the massive structures.
