Get Involved

We have many ways for you to get involved and help elect Democrats and build the local party.

Participate in the Local Party

Having as many people as possible working with the local party during election years and in between is critical to our immediate and long-term success. Easy places to start are signing up for our mailing list, attending monthly meetings, and participating in other party-related events. Some specific recurring events and activities include visiting or staffing our booths on the Fourth of July at Pioneer Park and at the county fair, as well as marching with Democrats in the annual Frontier Days parade during the fair. To get more involved, consider other options on our volunteer form.

If you have questions about volunteering or new ideas, you can add them in the volunteer form’s comment section or email us at wallawallacodemocrats@gmail.com.

Of course, donations to support the local party are always welcome.

It is important to get and remain active with the party and find ways to help elect Democrats and build the party. So, please do get involved!

Help during Election Cycles

You can assist candidates by volunteering with their campaigns to canvass, phone or text bank, write postcards, etc. You also can contribute financially, write letters to the editor, host a candidate meet-and-greet event, put a sign in your yard, and more.

The county and state parties also organize voter outreach efforts and work to support candidates and get out the vote. Watch for calls for volunteers as election years approach, or sign up for future volunteer work by completing our volunteer form.

Another volunteer opportunity during elections is observing vote counting as a certified Democratic poll watcher. Before primary and general elections, we look for volunteers and provide training.

It is a great feeling to work with other committed Democrats to help inform voters, increase turnout, and elect Democrats. Join us!
